Transfer
Our understanding of transfer
To us, transfer means not leaving scientific findings within the academic sphere but making them accessible to society. Research should address socially relevant questions, analyze them, and communicate the results transparently and clearly to the public.
A central example of this is our course Project Study in Data Science and Quantitative Methods. In this course, students independently develop empirical research projects in teams that address topics of concrete societal relevance, such as populism, sustainability, trust in the EU, or immigration. The results contribute to a better understanding of current developments.
The research findings are not only documented in a written report but are also made publicly available in the form of interactive web applications. These websites enable interested individuals outside the university to explore and understand key findings. In this way, scientific analysis becomes accessible and relevant to a broader public.
