Information

General information:

Besides repeating mathematical and statistical essentials, the lecture offers a broad view on different methods of estimation and testing. The course will treat correlation analysis, linear regression as well as factor, cluster and variance analysis. All empirical methods presented are relevant for empirical research, work in corporates and will be helpful for the Bachelor's Thesis. 

The lecture will be illustrated through the use of different examples and computer programs (i.e. MATLAB).

Exam:

Students will receive grades through an oral exam at the end of term.

Participation requirements:

It is strongly recommended that students successfully passed the core modules "BM Statistics", "AM Statistics" and "BM Mathematics". The course will be taught in German.
